Today I uploaded my new novel to NaNoWriMo to validate my word count: 51,342! I am exultant. It was hard. My brain nearly exploded some nights trying to keep track of all the threads I was weaving with. But the burst of creative joy was real, and I liked it. It was a battle against myself, and I won (and lost?).
I put the summary and the status of Unadorned on my Portfolio page should you care to know what I spent an inordinate of time writing about this month. But it's all there and now I can start fine-tuning it.
But first I have a textbook to edit and a children's book to typeset. Thanks to NaNoWriMo for a great experience! There is power in setting goals!
