👀  Observations
Lots of dumb words this week . . . such as ditsy, dolt, dopey, dork, dotard, duffer, dullard, dumbhead, dumbo, dummkopf, and dunce.

Of course, one should be careful with dork, as "a stupid or foolish person" is its second meaning; the first is "the penis" (OED verified). I first learned this from Gary Larson, in the preface to one of his Far Side collections. So choose your insults wisely.

    Disme: a former coin of the United States
    Dite: a small amount
    Dobla: a former gold coin of Spain
    Doblon: a former gold coin of Spain and Spanish America
    Dobra: a former gold coin of Portugal
    Doit: a former Dutch coin
    Dol: a unit of pain intensity
    Dollar: a monetary unit of the United States
    Doubloon: a former Spanish gold coin
    Drachm: a unit of weight
    Drachma: a former monetary unit of Greece
    Ducat: any of several gold coins formerly used in Europe
    Dunam: a unit of land measure in Israel
    Duro: a Spanish silver dollar

!!! Unexpected Words of the Week

    Donnee: the set of assumptions upon which a story proceeds (I really like stories that upset reader expectations)
    Donniker: a bathroom or privy
    Dopester: one who predicts the outcomes of contests
    Doss: to sleep in any convenient place (I cannot doss)
    Douzeper: one of twelve legendary knights (OED: In the Romances, the twelve peers or paladins of Charlemagne, said to be attached to his person, as being the bravest of his knights.)
    Dowsabel: a sweetheart
    Drammock: raw oatmeal mixed with cold water
    Droshky: an open carriage (so many antelope and so many carriages)
    Duh: interjection used to indicate that something just stated is too obvious (I liked the definition for this)
    Duiker: a small antelope
    Dulcinea: a sweetheart

    Dodgery: evasion
    Dodoism: a stupid remark
    Dogdom: the world of dogs (not to be confused with dogedom, the domain of doges)
    Doggerel: trivial, awkwardly written verse
    Doggery: surly behavior
    Driblet: a small drop of liquid
    Dubiety: the state of being dubious
    Dueness: the state of being owed
    Dupery: the act of duping
